A Hopkinsville man was charged after he reportedly assaulted his girlfriend with his fist Monday morning.
Hopkinsville Police say 48-year-old Michael Daniel was upset with his girlfriend after going to two family parties for the 4th of July and assaulted her by pushing her then punched her in the face knocking her out.
When she woke up she reportedly spit up blood and after being checked out at the hospital she was told her jaw was fractured and she would need to see a specialist.
Daniel is charged with second-degree assault.
