Conservation officers and local emergency personnel are searching an area of Lake Barkley for a missing Princeton man who witnesses say fell overboard Saturday afternoon.
Sgt. Daniel Richardson with the Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife says conservation officers responded to a call about an unmanned vessel going around in circles near Davenport Bay around 2:00. He says investigators were told by witnesses that the operator of the boat was ejected. The man was reportedly hit by the boat and didn’t resurface. He says witnesses also said there were no passengers on the boat.
According to Sgt. Richardson, search efforts for the 31-year old Princeton man were ongoing as of 5:30 p.m.
Lyon County Search and Rescue is assisting Fish and Wildlife.
