Pennyrile Electric is reporting a power outage is affecting portions of Christian and Trigg counties.
Officials with the utility company say a snake caused an outage at the Pee Dee Substation that is affecting 2,290 members. They say crews are currently replacing a damaged insulator before restoring power.
