Deputies have released the name of a woman that was severely injured when a tree fell on her vehicle on P Pool Road in Trigg County Sunday morning.
Trigg County Sheriff’s deputies say 31-year-old Melissa Wyatt was westbound when a tree fell on her car trapping her and a male passenger inside the vehicle.
A good samaritan used his tractor to help get the tree off of the vehicle allowing Trigg County Rescue to cut Wyatt and her passenger 48-year-old Adam Ingram from the vehicle.
Trigg County emergency personnel attempted to get a helicopter to transport them to the hospital but due to weather, they were both taken by ambulance to Trigg County Hospital.
The full extent of the injuries was unknown. The crash happened just before noon.
