A Greenville woman was killed when she was thrown from a boat during a fishing tournament at Lake Malone Thursday night.
According to the News-Democrat Leader, Logan County Coroner Mary Givens reported the incident occurred around 9:00 when 36-year old Jennifer Browning was fishing in a tournament with her husband and their boat struck an island, ejecting Mrs. Browning out of the boat into the water.
Givens said an autopsy will be conducted at the Madisonville Medical Examiner’s Office.
Kentucky Fish & Wildlife, along with the Dunmor Fire Department and Logan County Search & Rescue responded to the scene.
