Hopkinsville Man Arrested On Drug And Weapons Charges

A Hopkinsville man was charged with drug possession after an incident Saturday morning.

Hopkinsville Police say they were called out to the report of a disturbance at a home on Hill Haven Drive. When they arrived, 41-year-old Micheal Pendleton was found in a truck. Pendleton allegedly told police someone else was causing the problem and then he entered the home and hid in the basement.

While on the scene, police discovered Pendleton had an active warrant for failure to appear. Officers were eventuall able to talk him into exiting the home and he was taken into custody. A search of the truck Pendleton had been in led to the discovery of 2 grams of meth, marijuana, and a .22 revolver.

He is charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of meth and marijuana.
