Barkley Lake Water District Issues Boil Water Advisory

The Barkley Lake Water District has issued a Boil Water Advisory for a small portion of the county due to a water line break.

Superintendent John Herring tells the News Edge the advisory is for Cerulean Road from Mt. Zion Methodist Church, including the church, to Highway 128, but not including members who live along the highway. He says the advisory includes members who live on Martin Lane and Rocky Ridge Road to 3298 North Rocky Ridge Road.

Herring says the advisory affects about 15 members.

The Boil Water Advisory is in effect until further notice.

When an advisory is issued it’s recommended you boil water for a full three minutes before using it for human consumption.
