Kentucky’s Commission On Race And Access To Opportunity Holding Regular Meetings

The first meeting of the newly formed Commission On Race And Access To Opportunity took place in Frankfort this week.

The commission was created by Senate Bill 10, which passed during the 2021 Regular Legislative Session.

Commission co-chair Senator David Givens of Greensburg said there was one reason he wanted to join the group.

Representative George Brown of Lexington said it’s their responsibility to figure out these issues.

The group is to hold monthly meetings, provide research-driven policy proposals and is required to publish an annual report to the legislature.
