Area senior centers, including the Trigg County Senior Citizens Center, will stop allowing patrons to pick up meals through the drive-thru option at the end of the month.
Cissy Lawrence, Trigg County center director, tells the News Edge the drive-thru option was created because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Lawrence says if you would like a meal, you need to call the senior center at (270) 522-8341.
Lawrence adds around 25 seniors are taking advantage of the in-person meals at the center each weekday.
The center is back to normal operation after re-opening July 1, after being closed for 15 months because of the pandemic.
The Trigg County Senior Citizens Center is located on Joy Lane in Cadiz, behind Food Giant.
