A Hopkinsville man was charged Thursday night in connection to an assault on June 3rd in Hopkinsville.
Hopkinsville Police say 23-year-old Antonious Settles got into an altercation with a woman over an EBT charge and told her to leave.
Before she could leave he reportedly pointed a gun at her and used it to hit her in the back of the head more than once.
Police say she suffered injuries from the assault and was bleeding when they arrived. He is charged with second-degree assault and first-degree wanton endangerment.
