Man Charged With Harboring A Vicious Animal

A Hopkinsville man was charged after his dog reportedly attacked a man, another dog, and charged at law enforcement Thursday afternoon.

Hopkinsville Police say they were called to Braden Street for a pitbull mix that had attacked a man riding a bicycle and found the dog had also attacked another dog.

When law enforcement arrived, they were told the dog was behind an apartment building and when they approached the dog started barking and walking towards them.

Police say as they backed away the dog charged at them and the officer discharged his gun hitting the dog in the leg.

The dog was later located and the owner 41-year-old Percy Anderson was charged with harboring a vicious animal.
