Police have released the name of a Hopkinsville man that was struck by a train in Hopkinsville Sunday morning.
Hopkinsville Police say 38-year-old Frankie Burrus accidentally wandered onto the tracks somewhere between Walnut Street and Poplar Street and was hit by the train.
A helicopter was called to Jennie Stuart Medical Center to transport him to Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville for what emergency personnel say are severe head, arm, and leg injuries.
Police say alcohol may have been a factor in the incident.
