Nearly 7,600 students in the Christian County school district were welcomed back to in-person learning Wednesday morning as the new school year got underway.
Superintendent Chris Bentzel tells the News Edge the district had a good enrollment number for the first day of school with more students expected to enroll in the coming days.

click to download audioAccording to Bentzel, there were no issues with the bus routes Wednesday morning other than one of the routes was affected by a wreck on Interstate 24. He adds the district is always taking applications for more bus drivers.
