Police have released the names of a Princeton man and woman that were severely injured in a wreck on Eagle Way at Pennyrile Parkway in Christian County Sunday afternoon.
Hopkinsville Police say a motorcycle driven by 49-year-old Joel Benson was westbound on Eagle Way when it collided with an SUV driven by 25-year-old Christine Massie of Hopkinsville that was turning onto Pennyrile Parkway.
Joel Benson and his passenger 51-year-old Helena Benson were reportedly not wearing helmets and were thrown from the motorcycle in the crash.
They were taken to waiting helicopters that transferred them to Nashville and Evansville hospitals with what police say are severe injuries to their heads, arms, and legs.
The crash happened just before 6 p.m.
