A woman was severely injured in a collision with a utility pole on Canton Pike in Hopkinsville Thursday night.
Hopkinsville Police say a woman was westbound when for an unknown reason her car ran off the road and hit a utility pole.
The woman was taken to Jennie Stuart Medical Center by ambulance then transferred to Skyline Medical Center in Nashville by helicopter.
The crash led to the road being blocked by a powerline and the pole having to be replaced.
Other westbound vehicles were also damaged after running over the power lines. The crash happened just after 9 pm.
