After a week’s delay due to weather, the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet will close a portion of the Roaring Springs Road in southern Trigg County Tuesday as part of a three-week construction project.
The road will be closed near the 19-mile marker which is between the South Road and Delmont Church Road to allow a large culvert to be replaced. The new culvert will have a 25-foot arch span with a 10-foot stream clearance.
State officials say there will be no marked detour but drivers should take the New Hope Road to access Kentucky 164 from the north.
The $111,000 project is expected to be complete by the end of the month.
