City Of Cadiz Closes Government Buildings To Walk-In Traffic

Cadiz City Hall and all City of Cadiz government buildings will be closed to the public for walk-in traffic until further notice due to concerns over the spread of the coronavirus.

Mayor Todd King said the decision was made after receiving guidance from the Kentucky League of Cities Tuesday.

click to download audioCadiz Water Department customers can make their bill payments through the city’s secure website. The Cadiz Police Department had announced earlier Tuesday that its administrative office would close to the public.

Chief Duncan Wiggins said calls for service would be answered with officers wearing masks and handling non-emergency calls over the phone.

Members of the public needing to meet with an officer should call ahead at (270) 522-8369 to schedule accordingly.

It marks the second time since the COVID-19 pandemic began 18 months ago that Cadiz City Hall has closed to the public due to the coronavirus.
