Christian County Chamber Names Director Of Military Affairs

The Christian County Chamber of Commerce has announced Kristi Murtha has been selected as its next director of Military Affairs.

Chamber President/CEO Taylor Hayes says Murtha is a current military spouse and earned her Bachelor of Arts in Sociology at Auburn University. She brings to the role a background in sales, management, and hospitality.

According to Hayes, Murtha has a deep passion for the military and brings a high level of professionalism to the position. He adds she will be an enthusiastic ambassador for Christian County sharing its vision as a place that values hospitality and promotes inclusion and opportunity for people of all backgrounds and aspirations, including the military.

Murtha stated in her acceptance that she is excited to serve Christian County by working with the Military Affairs Committee, the Chamber of Commerce, and its members to strengthen ties with our military community. She also said she is a proud military spouse who hopes to bring new ideas and energy to a well-established association.

Most recently, Hayes says Murtha was a Case Reviewer for Peraton responsible for conducting thorough reviews of federal background investigations.

Murtha will begin her duties Monday, September 27th.
