Authorities are asking for the community’s help in locating a suspect and a victim in a kidnapping that happened on Lafayette Street in Cadiz Wednesday morning.
State Police say they were called just after 8 am to the report of a female that had been kidnapped from a Cadiz business parking lot. After talking with witnesses, investigators were able to identify the woman as 53-year-old Tammy Beechum, of Dover.
Beechum is described as a female, five foot one inch tall, weighing 150 pounds with blue eyes and brown hair.
Police say the suspect is believed to be 65-year-old Thomas Hungerford, of Cadiz, who is her estranged boyfriend. He is described as five foot five inches tall, weighing 157 pounds with blue eyes and a balding or bald head.
Hungerford is reportedly believed to be driving a white Mitsubishi Montero SUV with Tennessee registration DBK802. Police say Hungerford may be headed toward the state of Maryland but his whereabouts are unknown. He should be considered armed and dangerous.
