Three deaths linked to COVID-19 have been reported in Trigg County by the Pennyrile District Health Department.
The deaths occurred between August 29 and September 3 and involved two males aged 63 and 71 and a 65-year-old female. The deaths are the fourth in Trigg County in the past month related to the coronavirus and the 20th since the pandemic began in March 2020.
The PDHD does not release the vaccination data of those people who test positive or die as the result of a COVID diagnosis.
There were 27 new cases reported by the health department in Trigg County Tuesday with one of those people hospitalized. 14 of the cases, or over half, involve people under the age of 18.
Tuesday’s numbers come on the heels of a Monday report that showed 76 new cases in Trigg County from Friday to Monday. 28 cases were reported Friday and 26 more Saturday. Of the 76 weekend cases, none were hospitalized and 22 involved kids 18 and under.
To date, There have been 1,894 cases of COVID-19 in Trigg County with 255 cases reported in September.
