Details have been released concerning a crash at the intersection of Country Club Lane and South Virginia Street that sent two Hopkinsville women to the hospital Wednesday morning.
Hopkinsville Police say a northbound SUV driven by 59-year-old Barbara Lassiter on South Virginia Street collided with a westbound SUV driven by 33-year-old Mallory Keaton that was on Country Club Lane. The impact of the crash caused Lassiter’s vehicle to overturn’, trapping her inside. She was cut from the vehicle by the Hopkinsville Fire Department, then transported to Jennie Stuart Medical Center, along with Keaton for what police say are non-life-threatening injuries.
Police say Lassiter admitted she failed to stop at the red light. The crash happened just after 10 am.
