If you’re looking for something fun to do with your family while students are on Fall break, the Woodlands Nature Station in Land Between the Lakes National Recreation Area will be celebrating Wolf Week, October 2-8.
Friends of LBL spokeswoman Arrianne Byrum invites you to visit the Nature Station’s endangered red wolves and join their “pack” of wolf admirers. She says you can attend special wolf programs offered each day, join the red wolves for feeding time daily at 2:30 p.m., become a werewolf and more. In addition, she says you can discover why these cunning canines have inspired awe in people for generations.
Immediately following Wolf Week, Byrum says the Nature Station will host the Wooly Bear Festival on Saturday and Sunday, October 9 & 10, with fun fall activities including crafts, animal feeding programs, a wild edibles hike, and a night hike.
