A Hopkinsville man was charged after he reportedly fled from police as they were checking his welfare on Country Club Lane Friday night.
Hopkinsville Police say they were called to check the welfare of 36-year-old Cody Pepper who had jumped into someone’s pool on Country Club Lane and started making animal noises.
When police attempted to talk with him he reportedly fled on foot. Police say he was arrested and while walking back to the police cruiser he continued to make odd movements and appeared to be under the influence of some kind of substance.
Pepper reportedly continued to make odd statements while in the police cruiser like “its so sexy in here” to law enforcement. He is charged with second-degree fleeing or evading police and public intoxication.
