One of two men accused of a fatal shooting at the Valero gas station in Hopkinsville earlier this year will be going to trial in the spring of 2022.
21-year old Dalton Hall of Springfield, Tennessee, public defender Eric Bearden, and Commonwealth’s Attorney Rick Boling appeared before Chief Circuit Court Judge John Atkins for a pretrial conference Wednesday morning where a trial date was set for April.
Hall and his co-defendant 26-year old David King of Guthrie are charged with murder in the shooting death of 31-year old Delmour Moncrief on April 10th at the Valero gas station on East 9th Street. Hopkinsville Police reported Hall and King fled the gas station after the shooting and Moncrief was taken to Jennie Stuart Medical Center where he later died from his injuries. Hall was arrested a few days later in Alabama and King was taken into custody in Todd County on July 16th.
Hall and King remain lodged in the Christian County Jail. King, who is also facing a murder charge, is scheduled to be back in court for a pretrial conference on October 20th.
