Hopkinsville House Sustains Major Damage In DUI Driver Crash

A home in Holiday Park subdivision sustained major damage early Sunday morning when a driver, who was arrested for DUI, ran off the road and crashed into the home.

Hopkinsville Police report the accident occurred shortly before 12:30 Sunday morning when a vehicle driven by 60-year-old Jaton Marie Spencer collided with a parked vehicle on Holiday Park Drive. Spencer’s vehicle then ran off the road and hit the home at 3722 Bahama Drive. The vehicle went through the front of the home, which resulted in major damage.

Spencer failed a number of field sobriety tests and was taken to Jennie Stuart for a blood alcohol test before being lodged in the Christian County Jail. She was charged with DUI with aggravating circumstances.
