A road rage incident that started on Interstate 24 led to an assault in Hopkinsville Sunday afternoon.
Hopkinsville Police say the incident started on Interstate 24 over road rage and ended with an altercation on Fort Campbell Boulevard at Eagle Way.
One person allegedly broke a car window out with a cup then assaulted a man.
During the assault, the man being assaulted reportedly tried to leave and hit other vehicles at the intersection.
The man who was assaulted was taken by ambulance to Jennie Stuart Medical Center for what police say are non-life-threatening head injuries.
Police are continuing to investigate what led to the road rage and where exactly on the interstate it happened. The names of everyone involved have not been released.
