A Hopkinsville man was charged after an injury wreck on East 9th Street in Hopkinsville Monday afternoon.
Hopkinsville Police say a car was hit from behind by a truck driven by 57-year-old Carl Forrest near McKee Street just before 3 pm.
Forrest reportedly fled the area before law enforcement arrived but was later found on Gray Street and appeared to be under the influence of alcohol. Police say Forrest admitted to being the driver in the crash and leaving the scene.
He allegedly performed poorly on a field sobriety test.
Two passengers in the car were taken by ambulance to Jennie Stuart Medical Center for what police say are non-life-threatening injuries.
Forrest was arrested and charged with DUI, driving on a suspended or revoked license, and leaving the scene of an accident.
