Guthrie Man Takes Plea Deal In Valero Murder Case

One of two men charged in connection to a fatal shooting at the Valero gas station entered a guilty plea after some of the charges he was facing were dismissed as part of a plea agreement in exchange for testimony against his co-defendant in the case.

26-year old David King of Guthrie was initially charged with the complicity of murder, convicted felon in possession of a handgun, tampering with physical evidence and first-degree hindering prosecution or apprehension.

During a pre-trial conference in Christian Circuit Court Wednesday morning, King appeared virtually from the Christian County Jail while his defense attorney Stewart Wheeler of Russellville appeared via Zoom before Chief Circuit Judge John Atkins.
