A man that was found dead after a shooting on Jones Street near the intersection of Sharpe Street has been Identified Tuesday afternoon.
Hopkinsville Police say they were called around 1 am Tuesday for a call of a man that had been assaulted.
After police arrived, they reportedly found 23-year-old Adrian “Ace” Acree of Hopkinsville had been shot and was in the middle of the road.
Acree was pronounced dead and Identified by Christian County Coroner Scott Daniel who says they are working to schedule an autopsy.
Police blocked off the roadway as they collected evidence and investigated the shooting.
