A traffic stop on Interstate 24 in Trigg County led to the arrest of a Clarksville couple Saturday night.
Trigg County Sheriff’s deputies say they were called to the area for a possible intoxicated driver in the wrong lane of traffic and located the vehicle driven by 33-year-old Brittany Harding. During the traffic stop, police say a passenger in the vehicle, 36-year-old Brandon Harding, was acting erratically.
After a search of the vehicle, police say a plastic container of heroin along with a syringe spoon and cotton balls were found.
They were both arrested and charged with possession of heroin and drug paraphernalia. Brittany Harding was also charged with failure to maintain required insurance, improper use of lane, and failure to dim headlights.
