State-administered examinations to qualify candidates for Property Valuation Administrator and some select Circuit Court Clerk races will be administered later this year.
According to the information posted on the Kentucky Revenue website, the written examination to qualify candidates to run for Property Valuation Administrator will be given Wednesday, November 17, at Triple Crown Pavilion in Jeffersontown. The deadline to sign up for PVA Exam is Wednesday, November 10, at midnight.
Although incumbent PVAs are not required to take the exam, anyone else who wants to run for the office is required to pass the test.

Meanwhile, the Kentucky Administrative Office of the Courts will be administering the Circuit Court Clerk examination Wednesday, December 1, at 9:00 at the AOC office in Frankfort. The deadline to sign up for the exam is Monday, November 29, at noon eastern time.
The exam is open to anyone wanting to run in special elections for Circuit Court Clerk seats in Trigg, Ballard, Henry, Hickman, Lincoln, Owsley, and Woodford Counties. Incumbent Circuit Court Clerks in those counties are not required to take the examination.
