Trigg County Jailer James Hughes To Seek Fourth Term

Trigg County Jailer James Hughes says his love of public service led him to seek a fifth term in office.

Hughes says he has enjoyed serving as the Jailer during the past 15 years. Hughes’ primary duties include transporting prisoners to and from Trigg County to jails in Christian County and other communities for local and area law enforcement and the Trigg County Court system.

click to download audioHughes says the workload has increased during the past year, plus he spends quite a bit of time with inmate labor from the Christian County Jail completing community service projects in Cadiz and Trigg County.

click to download audioHughes was elected Trigg County Jailer in 2007. He took over after the retirement of former Jailer Glenn Cunningham.
