The Republican primary for the Christian County judge-executive’s race has gotten more crowded with a third filing reported by the county clerk’s office Wednesday.
Dan Mason, who is a registered nurse, filed to run for the seat currently held by Democrat Steve Tribble, who has announced he is seeking re-election but has not officially filed.
Mason joins local businesswoman Katie Moyer and Fiscal Court Magistrate Jerry Gilliam as Republicans who have filed for the seat and will give Christian County a rare Republican primary for the county’s top elected position.
