A Hopkinsville man that was arrested Wednesday morning for fleeing from police on two separate occasions was served two warrants for theft of firearms in jail Thursday.
Hopkinsville Police say on October 29th, 21-year-old Trejan Hillsbury along with Jaquarean Babb were seen taking items out of vehicles on Denzil Drive and when confronted by police they fled on foot.
Babb’s was located and arrested but Hillsbury was not found.
On November 4th, Hillsbury was stopped again by police on Country Club Lane and reportedly gave them a fake name and fled on foot after being asked about a possible weapon in his pocket.
Hillsbury was arrested Wednesday morning and charged with theft and two counts of second-degree fleeing or evading police.
Thursday morning Hillsbury was served two warrants for the theft of two firearms from two vehicles at Freudenberg and Metalsa.
