Hopkinsville Woman Charged With Theft Of Identity

A Hopkinsville woman was charged after a shoplifting incident on Fort Campbell Boulevard Thursday afternoon.

Hopkinsville Police say 39-year-old Kimberly McCain was stopped in the Bargain Hunt parking lot after a report of a shoplifter that fit her description.

She reportedly took $259 worth of items from the business and was also found to have two debit cards in which she had used someone else’s personal information to create the accounts.

After being arrested, police say she damaged the police cruiser and was able to get her handcuffs around to the front of her while en route to the jail.

She is charged with theft, third-degree criminal mischief, theft of identity, and third-degree escape.
