Man Charged After Report Of Shots Fired In Hopkinsville

A man was charged with several counts of wanton endangerment after a report of shots fired Saturday night.

Hopkinsville Police say 20-year-old John Vause fired a gun at a vehicle on South Elm Street after getting into a verbal altercation with a woman in the vehicle.
Police say he made threats to kill the woman during the altercation and two adults and three children were in the vehicle at the time of the shooting.
No one was injured and no property was found to have been damaged.

Vause was located after he reportedly tried to hide in a home at the 100 block of North Elm Street. He is charged with tampering with physical evidence and five counts of first-degree wanton endangerment.
