Two Charged With Trafficking Drugs After Todd County Traffic Stop

A traffic stop on Pond River Road in Todd County led to two Hopkinsville men being charged with trafficking drugs Saturday night.

Todd County Sheriff’s deputies say Jordan Lunsford was stopped for going 13 mph over the speed limit and found to have active warrants in Todd County and Robertson County, Tennessee.

During the stop, a bag of marijuana and a handgun were reportedly thrown out the window and off a bridge.

In the car, deputies say an open bottle of tequila, $460 in cash, a magazine for a gun, and a second bag of marijuana were located.

Lunsford and his passenger Kione Berry were both arrested and charged with trafficking marijuana, possession of a handgun by a convicted felon, and two counts of tampering with physical evidence.

Lunsford was also charged with speeding and operating on a suspended or revoked license.
