Jessica Addison has been named the assistant superintendent of the Christian County Public School District.
In making the announcement Tuesday afternoon, Superintendent Chris Bentzel said Addison has a wealth of experience working with principals, department heads, and other specialists in developing the general philosophy and goals of the total school curriculum.
Bentzel said Addison will be responsible for directing the development, implementation, and coordination of the district’s curriculum; improving the instructional programs throughout the district; supervising the student and school accountability program, and directing the district’s professional development program.
Addison began her teaching career at Todd County Central High School as a math teacher. She later worked with the Kentucky Department of Education as an instructional specialist, and later joined the Christian County School District as an instructional supervisor and director of instruction. Addison has recently been serving as an interim assistant superintendent.
Addison was selected from a pool of four finalists that met the qualifications and certification criteria for the position. She was one of two Kentucky residents in the final four.
