Freshman Eliza Renshaw was elected President of the Bluegrass Senate and will reign in this role next year, while senior Anna Hernandez reigned as President of the Commonwealth Senate.
Junior Raukel Mills served as a Supreme Court Justice, and junior Bailey Kington was recognized as an outstanding delegate.
Junior Eva Blankenberger served as clerk of the Senate, senior Abby Moss served as clerk of the House, and seniors Silas Jackson and Maggie Goode served as committee chairs on the first day of the conference.
Kentucky Youth Assembly is a mock legislature where students from across the state come together, write and debate bills, and elect officers in order to have a true government simulation.
