Hopkinsville Community College’s fall commencement will take place across two ceremonies this year — both on Friday, December 10 at the Auditorium Building in the Thomas L. Riley Lecture Hall.
Associate degrees in arts and science will awarded during a noon presentation, while associate degrees in applied science, diplomas and certificates will be awarded during a 3 p.m. ceremony.
Each ceremony will be streamed through Facebook Live under the individual event section of the Hopkinsville Community College page, and videos will be available to view on replay.
Per HCC Registrar Tiffanie Witt, students have applied for a total of 621 credentials during this graduation period — including 258 two-year degrees, 42 diplomas and 321 certificates.
Presiding over the ceremony will be HCC President Dr. Alissa Young, who will also present graduation materials to those who completed coursework in August or December of this year.
Chief Student Affairs Officer Angel Prescott will serve as master of ceremonies, and will also present the candidates for graduation with assistance from Chief Academic Affairs Officer Dr. Chris Boyett.
All health and safety protocols will be followed during the two ceremonies, and all participants and guests will be required to use masks, observe social distancing and maintain frequent hand sanitation.
In order to minimize the gathering size, each graduate will receive four tickets for personal guests. Tickets are required for entry, and guests must remain seated for the entirety of the ceremony.
