Resolution Could Be Near In Manslaughter Overdose Cases

Joshua Long, Defense Attorney Taylor Dahl and Assistant Commonwealth’s Attorney Jared Smith

Two men indicted in connection to the January death of a Crofton woman will be back in Christian County Circuit Court in January after their cases were continued Wednesday.

20-year old Joshua Long was indicted this summer by a Christian County grand jury on a charge of second-degree manslaughter – complicity and 19-year old Seth Henderson was indicted on a second-degree manslaughter charge.

Both men appeared separately for a pretrial conference Wednesday afternoon. Long and his defense attorney Taylor Dahl, of Clarksville, along with Assistant Commonwealth’s Attorney Jared Smith, appeared in the courtroom before Judge Andrew Self. Smith said he believes they are close to a resolution in the case and asked for a continuance.
