Four Arrested After Hopkinsville Drug Investigation

A drug investigation on Dogwood Drive and South Virginia Street in Hopkinsville led to the arrest of two men and two women Wednesday afternoon.

Christian County Sheriff’s deputies say they conducted a search warrant at the 200 block of Dogwood Drive and the 1700 block of South Virginia Street and seized several pills, meth, marijuana, a large amount of money, three firearms, and paraphernalia consistent with trafficking drugs.

43-year-old Christy Smith-Rojas and 37-year-old Robert Bacon both of Hopkinsville were arrested at the home on South Virginia Street and charged with trafficking a controlled substance within 1,000 feet of a school, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of a handgun by a convicted felon, using restricted ammunition during a felony (no shots), trafficking opiates, amphetamine, marijuana, and meth.

36-year-old Joseph King of Hopkinsville was arrested on Dogwood Drive and charged with possession of opiates, trafficking meth, and prescription controlled substances not in a proper container. 36-year-old Angela Sutton of Hopkinsville who was also at the home was found to have three warrants for probation violation and failure to appear.

The search warrants were conducted by the Christian County Sheriff’s Office Anti-Crime Unit and deputies say it is still an ongoing investigation.
