Power Restoration Efforts Focused on South Christian County

Pennyrile Rural Electric crews are continuing their work to restore power to parts of five counties affected by the weekend’s tornado damage.

As of Wednesday morning, there were 15 outages in their coverage area affecting 405 people. There are 368 customers in southern Christian County without power including Pembroke and most of Oak Grove north of Gate Five at Fort Campbell.

The utility continues to restore power to 40 customers in the Eddy Creek area of Lyon County and most of the Land Between the Lakes in Lyon and Trigg counties.

Fewer than 10 customers in Logan County remain without power.

Kentucky Emergency Management Director Michael Dossett said over 10,000 people in western Kentucky had power restored thanks to work by local utilities and TVA.
