NWS Surveying Damage From Possible Tornado (w/VIDEO)

A storm survey team from the National Weather Service in Paducah will be in Hopkinsville today to assess damage caused by a likely tornado that hit Hopkinsville on New Year’s Day.

The storm survey team will review a path of damage from Southern States Cooperative on East 13th Street to First Street. Christian County Weather Spotter Coordinator David Powell says initial thoughts are the damage could have been caused by a spin-up tornado.
