The National Weather Service is confirming a tornado touched down late Saturday morning in eastern Todd County.
According to the storm survey the tornado touched down around 11:16 one mile south of Allensville. The tornado started 2.2 miles southwest of Allensville then crossed into Logan County .9 of a mile southeast of Allensville. The tornado was about 50 yards wide, with peak winds of 90 miles per hour.
The tornado caused damage a number of large trees and limbs. Roof and other structural damage was also reported by the National Weather Service.
