A Trigg County man died at the hospital Tuesday after he was struck by a vehicle on Military Road Saturday morning.
Trigg County Sheriff’s Deputy Jared Werner says John Brandon was hit by an SUV driven by Michaela Carpinet as Brandon was walking along Military Road near Roaring Springs Christian Church around 8 am.
Brandon was taken by ambulance to a waiting helicopter that flew him to Skyline Medical Center in Nashville where he later died from his injuries.
Werner says during his investigation he determined Carpinet along with two passengers in her SUV were intoxicated. Carpinet was arrested and charged with DUI 1st with aggravated circumstances, no driver’s license, no insurance, and second-degree assault.
