Roads in Trigg County remain slick in many rural areas with the Trigg County Sheriff’s Office responding to numerous calls of minor crashes and vehicles off the road.
Sheriff Aaron Acree said state highways in rural areas remain slick.
Acree said most of the vehicles off the roadway are from people who didn’t need to be out in the first place.
The sheriff said vehicles that are left abandoned on the roadway or partially blocking the road will be towed.
Acree also said the sheriff’s department will help any essential worker that needs a ride to work in Trigg County or a person who is in need of essential medication.
Transportation officials began plowing Priority ‘C’ roads today after 4 to 5 inches of snow fell in Trigg and Christian counties on Thursday.
