Police have released the name of a Hopkinsville woman injured in a wreck on East 9th Street in Hopkinsville Tuesday morning.
Hopkinsville Police say an eastbound car driven by 65-year-old Walter Victor of Hopkinsville was stopped to turn into a parking lot and was hit from behind by a truck driven by 45-year-old Samual Wright of Hopkinsville.
Wright reportedly told police he was on the phone using speakerphone and when he looked down to hang up his truck collided with Victor’s car.
A passenger in Victor’s car 49-year-old Angelique Victor was taken by ambulance to Jennie Stuart Medical Center for knee injuries.
The crash happened just before 12 pm near the intersection of Gant Street.
