Christian County Public Schools officials announced the district will use a non-traditional instruction day for Friday.
Superintendent Chris Bentzel said factors such as icy road conditions and staffing shortages due to COVID-19 went into the decision to make Friday NTI Day 3. School aftercare programs have also been canceled for Friday.
He said the school system currently has fifty percent of its schools at critical staffing levels due to illness.
Bentzel said they expect a return to in-person classes on Monday.
