Man And Woman Charged With Trafficking Drugs In Trigg County

Two people were charged with trafficking drugs as the result of a traffic stop on Canton Road in Trigg County on December 14th.

Trigg County Sheriff’s Deputy Gary Hicks says he attempted to stop 29-year-old Christopher Hall for not having an illuminated license plate. Hicks said Hall passed several roads and parking lots and then turned on his emergency flashers before coming to a stop.

After Hicks’ law enforcement K9 indicated the presence of drugs in the vehicle, Hicks said they found bags of meth, a digital scale, a loaded gun, marijuana, and syringes. An investigation determined Hall, and his passenger 29-year-old Chasidy Phillips, were convicted felons.

Hicks added Hall is a documented gang member. They were both charged with trafficking meth, possession of a handgun by a convicted felon, possession of marijuana, and tampering with physical evidence. Hall was additionally charged with driving on a DUI suspended license and second-degree fleeing police.
